About this Event
Welcome to the CSJ Work-Based Learning Showcase: Histories of Social Justice, Resistance & Solidarity
Come join us for an afternoon filled with exciting presentations and displays from our talented Centre for Social Justice Research (CSJR) Work-Based Learning students who have been working hard with our partner organisations.
This is a fantastic opportunity to see the innovative work they have produced during their work-based learning placements with grassroots social justice organisations: AVID (Association of Visitors to Imigration Detainees), CAAT (Campaign Against Arms Trade), INQUEST and Women in Pr*son.
Don't miss out on this chance to witness the important work that students have done on issues as broad as racialised police killings, to the history of immigration detention and UK arms sales to Israel.
Their projects include archival and investigative research spanning over four decades of social justice campaigning, resistance and solidarity, alonsgide personal reflections of taking part in these unique work-based learning placements.
This in-person event will be held in Room UG05, 309 Regent Street, W1B 2HW. Join us for pizza in the Foyer from 5pm!
This event is part of a dynamic programme of work-based learning, knowledge exchange and community impact at the Centre for Social Justice Research thanks to funding from the Quentin Hogg Trust.
