Wave of Light - Baby Loss Awareness Week. A Service of Remembrance

At the culmination of Baby Loss Awareness Week, we join with the Wave of Light across the world by holding a special service at which commences with the lighting of candles at 7pm on Friday 15th October, and during which all names of babies written during the week will be read out to remember these special lives.

The Minster is committed to helping raise awareness of baby loss, and as usual, the Rokeby Chapel will be set aside from Saturday 9th October until Friday 15th October inclusive, for those who have lost babies too soon to come and light a candle and leave the name of their baby, and spend some reflective time.
