About this Event
This workshop is held in my home studio located in Waterloo, ON, and is designed for a very small group, allowing plenty of individual guidance and a relaxed, supportive atmosphere.
What you’ll learn
During the day, I will guide you step by step through the process of wet felting mittens:
- how to properly lay out wool
- how to decorate using different fibers
- how to felt, shape, and finish mittens
- tips and techniques for creating strong, warm, and well-fitted mittens
No prior felting experience is required.
Materials
We will work with high-quality materials, all provided:
- extra-fine merino wool
- natural and decorative fibers
- threads and silk for surface decoration
Each participant will create a unique, warm, and wearable pair of felted mittens to take home.
