Over the summer, we will need to keep the newly planted shrubs and trees alive by keeping them watered and pulling encroaching weeds. We will also continue to tend to the seedlings that were planted last season. The City will be supplying a water tank near the entrance of the park and there will be watering cans available. We are looking for three volunteers each week who can coordinate watering duties up to three times a week during dry times. If you're interested in this, please sign up for the week(s) you are available. They are listed in the signup genius by Sundays meaning you are signing up for the week of that Sunday through Saturday.
Before your week starts, Breanna from the Friends group will email the people who are signed up to share your email addresses with each other and then between those signed up you can figure out when / how you want to water. Breanna will give you tips on if you can take the week off if we've had enough rain or other information you should know.
