About this Event
We’ll be exploring everybody’s favourite mushroom, the fly agaric, and its bright and beautiful array of colours.
The workshop will provide you all the basics in watercolour painting, how to handle the medium, understand colour theory, and produce realistic illustrations of botanical and mycological subjects. From pencil sketch to finished piece, the two-hour workshop will introduce you to a wonderful style of painting and encourage you to explore more of your natural surroundings.
Fly agaric can be found between late summer and early winter in woodlands, parks and heaths, typically around birch or pine trees. Reference photographs and info sheets will be provided by the artist for this class so you can learn while you paint.
