Painting is about seeing shapes, not things. Using a limited palette, the class will create a barn-by-water scene by simplifying every element into clear shapes and mastering their edges, supported by strong value, color, and variety. In the morning, Paul introduces the subject and prepares the drawing. After lunch, he demonstrates his damp-paper technique for better watercolor control and extended working time.
