Season’s Greetings, Poets & Friends! Please SAVE the DATE + plan to join me at Waterbean Poetry on DECEMBER 17 when I’ll host a special edition OPEN MIC NIGHT!
Yes, it’s a week early due to Christmas. And, yes, it’s all Open Mic readings this month, no featured program. I decided I’d rather close out the 2025 season by giving you all more time at the mic. In the spirit of the holidays, my birthday, and wrapping up the 2025 Waterbean calendar with joy, let’s celebrate our amazing, inclusive, creative community—I’m celebrating YOU!

UNIQUE EVENT GUIDELINES
Please read carefully:
•• Arrive & sign up in person by 6:45. While spots are less limited for this month’s event, they always go fast! No holds.
•• Bring up to five (5) poems, but plan to read four (4). One page or less per poem.
•• Time Limit: Each poet will have six (6) minutes at the mic, all in, so keep intros brief. (Practice reading at home if you’re unsure of timing.)
•• A lottery round—time permitting & at host’s discretion—will decide who gets a 2nd trip to the mic to read a 5th one-page poem.
•• Door Prize! All attendees eligible to win.
As always, if you sign up to read, please stay to hear & support your fellow poets.
