Water pollution is a hot topic at the moment for obvious reasons! So having timely access to accurate data about the water quality of our local waterways is very welcome. So please come along and join Strandliners and Blue Heart for a simple water testing session at the Pevensey and Westham Community Forest Garden, which will become one of several local hubs for regular water quality testing by volunteers. Learn how to do water quality testing using the equipment provided. No registration necessary – just come along and drop in.As the entrance to the forest garden is very difficult to find on a first visit, please gather before 10.00am in the Pevensey Recreation Ground car park (entrance in Wallsend Road, Pevensey). A clearer map of the car park and its entrance is here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=15frVDe5wCFIR_aNnRy14XcuUuWWvPbzP&usp=sharing Please do NOT go to the car park next to Pevensey Castle!
In the car park you will be met by a volunteer from the forest garden who will guide you into the garden, which is a very short distance away. The car parking is free. If you arrive later than 10.00am, just ring 07402321382 and somebody will come and collect you from the car park.
Please wear stout boots, as the ground within the forest garden can be very uneven in places
