Water Gratitude- When we gather with our thoughts and set the intension for the water our group can influence healing. Since 2018 we have been given the gift to bring healing moments to our community. We have the understanding our thoughts, beliefs, desires can influence the outcomes we experience in life.
We start in circle, and then we have a reflection of gratitude for the water. We immerse ourselves in healing by going with in. In this present moment everything changes.
Dinosaur Hill
The preserve's creation began when local residents, city officials, and educators recognized the potential of an "unusable" piece of land. This land was purchased by the City for educational and recreational purposes. The name "Dinosaur Hill" originated from local children who imagined a large pile of dirt from nearby excavations looked like a sleeping dinosaur.
Evolution and development
As interest in environmental education grew, the preserve hosted more formal programs and school trips. Community support and fundraising efforts led to improvements such as a bridge, a nature center, and the relocation of a historic log cabin. More recently, a small office and work area were added. Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, Inc. became a non-profit organization focused on community and school education. The organization partners with the City of Rochester, which owns the land.
Celebrating 50 years
In 2024, Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The preserve continues to operate with the help of dedicated individuals and volunteers, including some who were involved in its early days
At Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve, you can find a creek as a source of water. Additionally, the Preserve is located near Paint Creek, which is part of the Clinton River Watershed.
The region around Rochester Hills generally receives its municipal water supply from Lake Huron, one of the Great Lakes
We will meet up in the parking lot and head into the park together the Parking dead ends from the street called, Hill .
