MORE INFO:
Since 1971, the Chamber Singers of Iowa City has been part of the Iowa City artistic community, inspiring and educating audiences through the finest choral music performance while supporting and enriching the arts culture in our community.
During this year’s Iowa City Arts Fest, we’re opening the doors to something audiences rarely get to experience: the final stages of putting a major concert together.
Step inside the stunning Voxman Music Building and observe our dress rehearsals for Into Full Flame — featuring nearly 100 performers including full orchestra, soloists, and choir. Watch the moving parts come together in real time as musicians refine balance, timing, and expression before performance day. Whether you stay for 10 minutes or an entire rehearsal, it’s a fascinating behind-the-scenes glimpse into large-scale music-making.
Return Sunday for the full concert performance, featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem alongside works by Mozart and Pēteris Vasks.
