The Carpenter’s Son hits theaters, likely for one week only. This film is mainly for Nicolas Cage and religious horror fans.
It’s going to be one of those films people talk about for months - a strange, provocative, supernatural slow-burn that mixes religious folklore, psychological tension, and a creeping dread that feels part A24 arthouse, part folk horror, and part “what-the-hell-did-I-just-watch?”
Will be at the 3.10pm showing on Sunday at Regal Sunset Station - so, send a message if you'd like to meet up.

----------
The Carpenter's Son is a horror film about a family hiding in Roman-era Egypt, led by Joseph (Nicolas Cage) and Mary (FKA twigs), whose son, Jesus (Noah Jupe), begins to rebel and use mysterious powers after being tempted by a girl named Satan (Isla Johnston). As the son exercises his abilities, the family becomes a target of both demonic and human forces. The story is inspired by the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas.

You can find links to tickets for a few other screenings this week (and the week before Christmas for a rewatch) on this site as well.
Join our Lord Nicolas Cage (as Joseph) for this sacrilegious horror experience. This one’s for fans of mysterious parables, cult cinema, and slow-burn horror where the unease comes from the silences as much as the scares. If you like films in the vein of The Witch, Saint Maud, Stigmata, Mandy, or Under the Skin, this will be right up your alley.
