About this Event
Do you struggle with parts of your personality that feel difficult to manage? Perhaps it's your inner critic, perfectionism, addictive behaviours, or jealousy and envy. These traits can be challenging, and attempts to ignore or suppress them may only deepen the internal conflict.
This session offers a therapeutic approach to self-exploration and personality integration by embracing these shadow aspects of yourself, rather than rejecting them. Instead of viewing these parts as problems to eliminate, you will learn to engage with them, understand their origins, and integrate them to create wholeness and inner harmony.
If you are not familiar, the "shadow" refers to the unconscious, often disowned parts of our psyche that we may repress or deny. These aspects can manifest through self-sabotage, emotional triggers, or projections onto others. Shadow work involves bringing these hidden parts into conscious awareness, allowing for healing, integration, and self-acceptance.
What You Will Gain:
- An understanding of your shadow self and its role in your life
- A safe and supportive group setting for connection and shared insight
- Tools and techniques to transform your shadow aspects into sources of strength and personal growth
What You’ll Need:
- A journal or paper
- A pen
- Optional: a snack or drink for comfort during the session
“The shadow is not an adversary to be defeated, but a valuable part of the self to be acknowledged and integrated. By understanding and working with our shadow, we cultivate a deeper, more authentic version of ourselves.” – Debbie Ford
