The Warpers Trail is a 9 mile (14.4km) circular, from Turton and Entwistle Reservoir, taking us around beautiful reservoirs and into a rural landscape, passing the historic Turton Tower and through the pretty village of Edgworth. This trail is the second section of the long distance Witton Weavers Way (32 miles) that we will visit this year, having walked the Tacklers Trail In January. We will be walking the full Witton Weaver's Way on 21st June 2025 as well! Some road, farmland, reservoir paths and forest walking with a number of stiles. A relatively easy - moderate walk with a couple of short steep ascents. Approx. 1000ft elevation (325m)
Expected to take about 5 hours.
Older children (aged 10+) are welcome.
Well behaved and friendly (with other dogs and people) dogs are welcome as well, but must be able to jump or be lifted over stiles. You may need to keep your dog on a short lead in some places due to livestock. Retractable leads are not advised as they can become tangled round other people's legs.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance (tickets cost £15). We specialise in small-group guided walks, always led by a professional qualified mountain leader, with outdoor first aid and public liability.
Further information, kit list and meeting details will be emailed to you prior to the event, once you have booked. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions and GDPR Privacy notice before booking.
