Prepare for boarding as the Wareham Whalers step on deck at Durlston Country Park for an evening of 'Shanties and Strange Stories'!On Friday 6th March, in the atmospheric surrounds of Durlston’s Fine Foundation Gallery, The Wareham Whalers will explore life aboard sailing ships in the 18th and 19th centuries through readings, songs and shanties, keeping you entertained from start to finish.
Rocking the boat with their powerful shanties since 2004, the dozen-strong Wareham Whalers sing their folk songs as they would have been sung for work on board ship and for the rare moments of recovery below deck.
They aim to capture the strength of this music and ensure there's never a dull moment when the Whalers are about!
Doors and bar open 7pm for a 7:30pm start. Tickets are £10 per person, booking via the below link;
