I have been lucky enough to go along to the events that Eloise and her amazing team hold for the Wardrobe Foundation.It feels like a “win win” when both parties gain from a “truly genius” way of helping others and you get to buy something and support and add to the charity funds, and gain a beautiful outfit at a fraction of the price. Along with reducing textile waste, helping financially and bringing back confidence to those who need it. Definitely a win- win.
The charity is based here in Dorset, Eloise has made this charity work, held amazing events and got the “message out” about how we can help them continue the amazing work they have created.
What they do
Wardrobe Foundation is a volunteer led Community Interest Company (C.I.C.), providing clothing to women across Wessex who are in desperate need of clothing support.
At Wardrobe Foundation our aim is to redistribute clothing. Combating the huge societal need of clothing support, and the environmental issues around textile waste. Keeping items in circulation for longer and ensuring they reach the women who need them.
To do this we work with incredible, local organisations, charities and community groups to deliver personalised and lovingly put together clothing gift bags to women who are in desperate need of clothing. By using donated clothing which we receive from both the public and from retailers.
Each clothing gift bag we provide is based upon the information received from the organisation. Covering the practicalities (height, age, size) but importantly the type, style and colour clothing preferences of the woman who needs clothing.
Our aim is to deliver bags of confidence - self-confidence is the best outfit. Rock it and own it.

As we are a volunteer based organisation, our opening hours do vary day-day, week-week. If you would like to visit our unit please drop us a message in advance. Please note donations cannot under any circumstances be left outside the unit.
