*EVENT ON SATURDAY*Newry and Mourne Museum invite you to the fascinating talk, War Into Words, exploring the life and powerful poetry of Wilfred Owen.
Delivered by Mel McMahon, this talk will explore Owen’s contribution to World War One, both as a soldier and one of the era’s most significant poets. We will examine a selection of his poems in the context of key battles from that time, and discuss how his reputation and legacy have evolved from his death to the present day.
This event is organized in association with the Old Newry Society.
