This Mother’s Day week, we invite you to organize a neighbourhood litter cleanup to honour and celebrate the nurturing spirit of motherhood, reduce emphasis on buying STUFF gifts, and give back to the planet that sustains us.

How to participate:
✅Email us at [email protected] to let us know when and where you plan to do your cleanup.
✅ Learn best practices for safe litter cleanups: https://www.cleannorth.org/2020/05/14/picking-up-litter-a-great-pandemic-activity-but-do-it-safely/
✅ Gather family, friends, and neighbors to join you in a cleanup in the Sault/Algoma on the Saturday before Mother’s Day (or another day that week). Ask your crew to wear a green shirt in keeping with the green theme.
✅Choose a park, street, or nature trail in need of some care. Spend an hour working together to clean up and restore the beauty of our community.
✅Email us a photo of and/or story about your event at [email protected] by May 11. All individuals who send us a photo will be entered into a draw for one of three prizes: A framed photo by renowned local wildlife photographer David Baldwin, a set of six native plants, or a bat house.
Businesses/organizations are not eligible for the prize draw but those who submit photos will be featured on our new Litter Leaders web page.
