About this Event
A Grief Cafe is a safe and confidential space to meet others, to share stories and to explore thoughts and feelings around the experience of grief and a loss.
It's a supportive environment for reflection and conversation. It's a place where people will be able to find mutual support and encouragement.
It may be that your loss is anticipated, recent or a long time ago.
At our Grief Cafe there is no agenda, objective or theme; the conversation is simply led by the people in the group.
Please note that this is a discussion group and not designed to be a counselling session.
Join us for tea, cake and a friendly supportive ear. Everyone is welcome.
We appreciate donations (minimum of £3) towards the cost of refreshments and facilitator expenses. If you are experiencing financial hardship but would like to attend then please contact us.
We are unable to offer a refund if you cancel your place. We thank you for your understanding.

The Death Positive Library
Redbridge Libraries are the founder member of the Death Positive Library movement in the UK. The project uses public libraries as safe and trusted places to start conversations about death, dying and loss. Creating Conversations CIC
Creating Conversations CIC creates spaces for open conversations about death, dying and grief.
Debbie Young set up Creating Conversations in 2022 with her colleague Alberta Gutteridge.
Debbie has been working in the field of death, dying and end of care planning since 2011 and is an experienced Death Cafe host and facilitator. Debbie also provides training, facilitated workshops and consultancy.
