May 9, 2025 | 6:15pm - 7:30pm◆ Free and open to the public | Co-Organized with Harvester Arts and Mina Estrada
◆Join dance artist Mina Estrada as she guides you through an experience in the (im)permanent collection galleries that incorporates movement in response to select works of art. You will learn a movement phrase that embodies an element of each artwork—texture, line, space, or narrative—and will leave with a small dance that represents the kinesthetic and aesthetic experience the group has just shared.
◆ About Mina Estrada: Dance artist Mina Estrada is the Program Director of Dance at Wichita State University as well as Assistant Professor of Performing Arts – Contemporary Dance. Additionally, she is the Managing Director of Harvester Arts, a nonprofit arts organization fostering opportunities for creatives in Wichita. Mina makes community building a priority with Smack Dab Dance Lab, which creates opportunities for local choreographers and dancers to experiment, play, commune, and share their work.
◆ About WAM Nights: We’re open late on Fridays until 9 pm! Get your weekend started with after-hours access to the galleries and shopping in the Museum Store.
