Discover the art of bookbinding in this fun and creative 3-hour workshop for all skill levels. Whether you’re an artist, a crafter, or simply curious to try something new, this engaging class is the perfect way to spend a creative afternoon.
Learn how to craft your own handmade journal inspired by the shape and function of a wallet, a beautiful object designed to travel with you wherever summer takes you. Fill it with sketches, notes, poems, collected treasures, memories, and everyday inspirations.
Throughout the session, we will experiment with a variety of creative materials and processes, including print materials, photographs, inks, typography, and patterned papers, allowing you to design and personalise your journal in your own unique style. Students will also explore additional creative techniques, such as pattern-making, composition, layout, and typographic design, to create a rich mixed-media object that is both functional and artistic.
Along the way, you’ll learn essential bookbinding techniques in a relaxed and inspiring environment, leaving with a beautifully handcrafted piece full of character, creativity, and personal expression.
