About this Event
London has always been a cosmopolitan city. It has attracted people from all over the world. But it has also been a magnet for those who come from other parts of the United Kingdom.
Therefore, on today’s walk, we will focus on the Welsh in Westminster - and taking part o St David's Day!
Surprisingly, the area of Westminster has many associations with the Welsh, from historical to the present day.
These include some of Britain’s most influential politicians such as Lloyd George and Auerin Bevan. We will hear of how they shaped the country. We will also hear of the Princes and Princesses who helped to create the House of Tudor.
Moving forwards in time, we will hear stories of architects and poets, as well as the stars of stage and screen
Finally, we shall examine one of London’s famous landmarks and discover a Welsh twist that few people know about.
