About this Event
The RainWise team will lead a walking tour showcasing RainWise installations in the Green Lake neighborhood. The route is around 1.5 miles with some gentle inclines, starting and finishing outside Ole Café (5421 Meridian Ave N, Seattle WA 98103). Plan for 60 to 90 minutes. Feel free to check out the neighborhood restaurants afterward if you'd like.
With every storm, rain carries pollutants off roofs, driveways, and other hard surfaces into local creeks, Lake Washington, and Puget Sound. Rain gardens and cisterns can help control this stormwater, and we need your help! In selected areas of Seattle, the City of Seattle and King County will pay up to 100 percent of the cost of installing rain gardens and cisterns on your property. Come talk to program staff to learn how your property can be RainWise.
