About this Event
Step into Little Italy and embark on a journey through Ottawa’s vibrant Italian-Canadian history, culture, and community! This free 2-hour walking tour will explore the significance of one of Ottawa’s most notable areas and its transformation from a humble enclave for the first waves of Italian immigrants to the thriving centre for local business and communities that it is today! You will leave the tour with a deeper appreciation and understanding of the enduring legacy of Ottawa’s Italian Immigrants whose influence continues to shape the cultural fabric of our city.
Donations are encouraged; all proceeds will support future initiatives that promote Italian culture and heritage in our community.
Meeting Location: Piazza Dante Park, 470 Booth Street, Ottawa, ON K1R 7N3
Tour start time: 2pm sharp. Please arrive 10min. early.
Getting there: Due to the simultaneous events already taking place that weekend, participants are strongly advised to arrive by public transportation, bike, or carpooling. Paid street parking is available in the area.

- It is advisable to dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
- This walking tour will take place outdoors and will take place rain or shine. In the case of inclement weather, the tour guide will make the appropriate decision with the health and safety of our patrons in mind.
