This community-focused walking program is designed for everyone—no matter your current fitness level. Whether you’re just starting to move more, have limited mobility, or are already active, this program offers a plan tailored to your needs. You’ll improve your strength, balance, and flexibility through walking intervals and exercises in a supportive environment.
Developed by a kinesiologist, Walking to Wellness is designed to make fitness enjoyable and achievable for everyone. It offers gradual, personalized training to help you build fitness, strength, and endurance based on your unique abilities and goals.
This session is free to attend and runs every Saturday morning at the Minoru Park Track in Richmond
We will meet in at the track by the stands. Look for the volunteers in the Kidney Foundation Lanyards.
Dress for the weather as we will be walking outside on the track. The session starts with a warm up activity that is adaptable to anyone's ability and then we will start our walking intervals that are adjustable to a pace you are comfortable with.
