Voices of Caregivers: Exploring MAiD through stories and film
Come join us for an insightful event exploring Medically Assistance In Dying (MAiD) experiences from caregivers through storytelling and film.
This event includes stories from caregivers of MAiD, live discussions and a film screening.
We will be featuring a narrative short film 'The Last Flight (MAMM)' that explores a deeply personal journey of a medically assisted death between a father and daughter followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.
Gain a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding MAiD and the impact it has on caregivers. Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear firsthand accounts and engage in meaningful discussions.
BONUS (1 pm - 1:45 pm): Caregiver Portraits
The creators behind the film are offering limited spots for a free photoshoot session for Caregivers who attend our event. Participants must be a caregiver, but does not have to be MAiD related.
- Photoshoot session will happen after the main event from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm
- Must have cared for someone, or is currently caring for someone.
- Participants can bring personal item for their shoot if they wish.

Event location: Performance Hall - Same building as the Richmond Public Library - Brighouse Branch .
