About this Event
P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Paul van Revestein and Monique Mulder to celebrate and discuss their new book, The Pickled City; an illustrated history of the ever-popular New York pickle told with amazing archival images and ephemera from the New York Historical and beyond.
Join us for an afternoon of pickled celebrations, beginning with a walking tour of the Lower East Side led by the authors, a lecture about the history of New York pickles by the authors, and a happy hour to mingle with other pickle lovers. Ticket prices vary on participation.
During their lecture, Paul and Monique will be joined by a descendant of the iconic New York City pickle family, Guss Pickles. Learn about the history of pickles in NYC's Lower East Eide through family histories, and maybe even re-discover your own family history!
Run-of-show:
2pm: walking tour through the LES, departing from and returning to P&T
3pm: Paul and Monique's lecture featuring stories from locals
4:30pm: Happy hour and recipe swap
