About this Event
In this Kōrero Claudia & Monica share some key points when supporting a person with intellectual disabilities. Whether you are a support person, whanau member or just want to know more, this kōrero invites you to take a step closer towards creating an inclusive community.
Guest Speakers:
Claudia and Monica both work at A Supported Life (ASL), which is a nonprofit organization providing holistic support for adults with intellectual disabilities in West Auckland. As a support coordinator, Claudia oversees quality wrap-around support for the people supported by ASL. Monica's role as a psychologist focuses on designing specialised behaviour and mental health support as well as staff training.
