About this Event
To mark International Men's Day 2024
For men who work or are cared for in the NHS, social care or the third sector
There is greater awareness now of the restorative and balancing effects of being in nature. Up a hill, by a river, walking in a park, working the allotment, are all good for our health and wellbeing. They can ground us and help us to keep a healthy perspective on our lives; its challenges, our struggles, our joys and sorrows.
Fulbourn Hospital sits within a beautiful, mature green space. And to mark International Men's Day we are inviting you to join us for a walk around the grounds in the hands of an experienced guide.
David Lynch is a Mindful Coach and Wellbeing Trainer who has a wealth of experience both personally and professionally in the practice of mindfulness.
David runs Mindful Meanders monthly at Wandlebury Country Park. These walks are an opportunity to be quiet and present in nature whilst enjoying the changing weather and seasons. David offers simple mindfulness guidance at the beginning of the walk, and holds space at the end for gentle sharing of experiences over a refreshing drink.
“David’s walk helped me to recover from a very stressful period in my life with a gentle combination of wise guidance, listening and creating a space to meet others.”
