Hurray - another meet to look forward to! �� Saturday 4 May 2024 (BH Weekend).
� 11.00 - 1.00pm
� Meet outside The Mansion, just off Mansion Lane, Roundhay Park, LS8 2HH
� We are uniting with fellow community group, TRANS PRIDE LEEDS, to host a ‘Walk, Talk & Picnic in the Park’.
� So rather than finish up at the cafe, we will have a picnic instead. (Bring a packed lunch if you wish, or there’s take-out options on site, if that suits). We will base ourselves near to benches so there’s options for everyone.
� And that’s not all….. we will joined by the wonderful NICKY BRAY’S MUSICAL MENAGERIE for some musical mischief!.
� Trans Pride Leeds is hosted by Shiv (she/her/hers), who spoke at our ‘Women Walk This Way’ event.
�As well as an annual Pride protest in support of trans rights, TransPrideLeeds organises events throughout the year to uplift the community.
�This year they’re planning a brand new photoshoot and photographic retrospective celebrating the history of trans folk, a conference on trans healthcare and a play about the first national trans conference which took place in Leeds in 1974. Protest, Positivity and Pride!
�Nicky Bray’s Musical Menagerie - Nicky specialises in humorous musical storytelling, exploring weird and wonderful subject matter while experimenting with different musical styles, and incorporating props and audience participation. Nicky Bray's musical menagerie.
� Of course, the weather will be superb … but should it not be as sparkly on the day, the event will be adapted and still go ahead.
�As always you can stay for as long or as little as you like and connecting, taking part is always optional and without judgement.
