Where: Meet outside the Athens County Courthouse anytime between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm.What: The Athens City Commission on Disabilities hosts our 7th annual Walk, Talk and Roll to showcase accessibility issues and improvements.
Who: City of Athens officials, Athens Transit, HAPCAP, SOCIL, Strouds Run Access Group, Alexander Inclusive Playground Project, Athens City Pedestrian Taskforce will all be present tabling and answering questions.
Why: The City of Athens has numerous accessibility concerns and ADA violations in the uptown area. Participants will be able to attempt crossing the street using a wheelchair and encouraged to think more about how our current infrastructure segregates people with mobility disabilities from participating in community life.
