Walk In Your Wedding Dress

On 18th July 2026, we’re inviting supporters to step out in their wedding attire and join us for a truly special and fun fundraising walk in support of The Knights Foundation, celebrating their 10-year anniversary.

This event is for everyone. Whether you wear a wedding dress, suit, bridesmaid gown, morning suit, veil, tux, or any fabulous formal outfit — we want you there!

This unique event was created by Kate and Michelle, inspired by Kate’s family’s own journey and the support they’ve received from The Knights Foundation over the past five years. Together, they wanted to do something a little different to bring people together and raise vital funds for a charity that means so much to them.

The day will begin at 11:00am at Royal Victoria Country Park, where everyone will be welcomed by Kate and Michelle before we gather for photos and get ready to set off.

We’ll start the walk at 12:00pm, making our way through Southampton, across Itchen Bridge, all dressed in our wedding attire and walking together for a fantastic cause.

We’ll finish at St Mary's Stadium, heading pitch side for some incredible group photos to celebrate completing the walk in style.

After that, we’ll make our way to The Dell for a relaxed, reception-style celebration party — the perfect way to toast everyone’s efforts and continue the celebrations together. 🥂

This is a light-hearted, feel-good event all about laughter, memories, community and supporting an incredible cause.

We are SO excited that Brides of Southampton have generously donated 20 beautiful wedding dresses for participants to borrow.

If you don’t have a dress, yours doesn’t fit, or you’d simply love to wear something different — we’ve got you covered.

• £20 – Walk in your own wedding attire
• £40 – Walk + borrow a wedding dress

Michelle will respond when she is available and will keep track of attendees for each evening. Places are strictly first come, first served, and once each evening is full, no further appointments will be available.

Dresses must be taken home on the night, and full loan Terms & Conditions apply (see below).

Event Details

You’ll be able to try dresses on, choose your favourite, and take it home that evening.

Dresses are limited to 20 and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Start Location: Royal Victoria Country Park

We will:

• Meet at Royal Victoria Country Park at 11:00am
• Set off together at 12:00pm
• Walk across Itchen Bridge
• Finish at St Mary's Stadium for group photos inside the stadium
• Head to The Dell for a reception-style celebration party

This is a relaxed group walk, suitable for anyone who wants to dress up and get involved.

The Knights Foundation supports children and families affected by serious illness, disability and hardship. They provide specialist equipment, family days out and respite stays at their holiday lodge — helping families create positive memories during incredibly difficult times.

Every step you take helps make a real difference.

Ticket Price:
£20 standard
£40 with dress loan

Fundraising Target:
We ask each participant to aim to raise a minimum of £80.

After purchasing your ticket:

1. Join the team via the link

Raising more than the minimum is always hugely appreciated.

By purchasing a £40 “Walk + Borrow a Dress” ticket, you agree to the following:

1. Collection
Dresses must be collected in person from Brides of Southampton on either 12th May or 21st May (4–8pm). The dress must be taken home that evening.

2. Card Details
Card details will be securely taken at the time of collection. Your card will only be charged if the dress is not returned or is severely damaged.

3. Return Deadline
Dresses must be returned within one month of the event date (18th July 2026).
Final return deadline: 18th August 2026.

4. Non-Return
Failure to return the dress by the deadline will result in a £300 charge.

5. Severe Damage
A £100 charge will apply if the dress is returned with severe damage.
Severe damage is defined as damage that prevents the dress from being worn again (e.g. irreparable tears, permanent staining, structural damage, cigarette burns).

6. Responsibility
The borrower accepts full responsibility for the dress from collection until it is returned. Reasonable care must be taken at all times.
