Join us to raise awareness and to remember our loved Missing & Murdered Indigenous People. The Qissunamiut Yurartet Dancers will start us off drumming at 5:30 PM for our short walk on campus. Please bring your drums to drum with us as we walk. Once we return to the ANSEP Building, the Qissunamiut Yurartet Dancers will do a performance.
Tatiana Ticknor will be a speaker at the event. Tatiana is Dena'ina, Deg Hit'an, and Lingit, and is a program coordinator of the Data for Indigenous Justice working to reclaim data for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Relatives. Data for Indigenous Justice are also members of the MMIWG2S Alaska.
Parking is free and light refreshments will be provided.
