It's time to Move Your Paws For An Important Cause! Join Central Vermont Humane Society Saturday, June 6th at 9:30 a.m. on the State House Lawn for our biggest event fundraiser of the year, the 2026 Walk for Animals.
This FREE family-friendly and pet-friendly event invites animal lovers to come together and showcase your commitment to our furry friends and help provide life-saving care for needy animals in our community.
Start planning your best pet costumes now and practicing your tricks, as the highly-anticipated dog costume contest and trick contest will be returning! Come dressed up in your best outfit and get ready to show off that training you’ve been working on for a chance to win great prizes.
Guests are invited to visit with vendors and participate in a variety of activities for all ages – humans and pets! Check out the different craft stations, play games, hang out for story time with the Kellogg Hubbard Library, enjoy refreshments and show off their love of animals with a gentle 1 mile walk through Montpelier. **Walk is optional, there is plenty to do if you want to stay!**
