The North Kansas City Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee (NKC BPAC) is hosting it's second community walk audit! Walk audits are community-led assessments of the pedestrian environment. This can include:
- The condition and connectivity of sidewalks;
- Street crossings and intersections;
- Pedestrian assets like benches and lighting;
- Accessibility for persons with disabilities; and
- Speeding/unsafe driving behaviors.
Walk audits are a great opportunity to learn about community infrastructural needs while also getting to know and work with your neighbors!
