Some undulating slopes and gatesGUIDED WALK BY RSPB STAFF - please book as detailed below
Well known to most of us, we will be guided by the RSPB staff around the heathland and woodland highlighting the management works that have occurred over the last 20 years to improve the habitat for heathland birds, with the dream being to attract Nightjars which have visited the reserve but not bred yet.
The staff will inform us on the wildlife to be seen on the reserve, such as Natterjack toads and the use of Ponies to manage the heathland. There’s a chance to see Hobbies, Spotted Flycatcher and Sand Martin.
The visit can be extended in the afternoon by accessing the extensive trail network.
