Kom med på en særlig omvisning i "Alison Knowles: Retrospektiv 1960–2022" i selskab med udstillingens amerikanske kurator Karen Moss. Alison Knowles (1933–2025) var en central skikkelse i Fluxus-bevægelsen og arbejdede fra 1960’erne med performance, lyd, tekst og billedkunst. Fluxus var en international, eksperimenterende bevægelse, der udfordrede grænsen mellem kunst og dagligliv gennem performances og happenings. I Norden spillede København – og særligt Nikolaj Kunsthal – en central rolle i bevægelsens udvikling.
Karen Moss er kunsthistoriker og tidligere professor i Critical Studies ved University of Southern California samt forfatter til en monografi om Alison Knowles. Udstillingen har tidligere været vist på bl.a. BAMPFA, Museum Wiesbaden og Musée d’art moderne et contemporain Saint-Étienne og rejser videre til Grey Art Museum i New York.
Omvisningen foregår på engelsk. Der er et begrænset antal pladser.

As part of the retrospective Alison Knowles exhibition Nikolaj Kunsthal invites you to a special guided tour with the exhibition’s US curator, Karen Moss.
Alison Knowles (1933–2025) was a central figure in the Fluxus movement, working from the 1960s across performance, sound, text and visual art. Fluxus was an international, experimental movement that challenged the boundaries between art and everyday life through performances and happenings. In a Nordic context, Copenhagen – and Nikolaj Kunsthal in particular – played a key role in the development of the movement.
Karen Moss is an art historian and former Professor of Critical Studies at the University of Southern California, and the author of a monograph on Alison Knowles. The exhibition has previously been presented at institutions including BAMPFA, Museum Wiesbaden and Musée d’art moderne et contemporain Saint-Étienne, and will travel on to the Grey Art Museum in New York.
