Our Walk and Talk group is back next week after it's summer break and even better news...it is now weekly!Our peers will meet you at the Garden of Peace (sunken gardens) at 10am to have a stroll round the park and finish at the playground for those who have little ones with energy to burn! Our peers will be with you until 11.15am.
It is a great way to get some fresh air and meet some local parents and peers for a chat. We stick to the pathways suitable for buggies (although a toddler or two might want to explore the grassy areas to find a stick of follow a squirrel), pushchairs, slings, toddlers and walkers all welcome.
We can split into two groups if some need a bit more time for little legs to join in and if you would like to speak to a peer supporter away from the group you can message us in advance or let them know on the day (you won't be able to miss them in their pink high-vis vests!)
Please note as this is an outdoor activity it is subject to the great British weather being kind to us. In the event of very wet weather or high winds we may have to cancel, please keep an eye on our Facebook page where we advertise the days groups at 8am each morning.
All families are welcome, whether you have joined us before or if this is your first time. Feel free to bring a friend or family member along for support if you would like to. It is free to attend and you don't need to pre-book.
Parking is available on the perimeter of the park. Bus Routes Citi 2, 36 and 37 from the City Centre stop right outside the park. It is a 10/15 minute cycle ride/walk from the city centre.
