Phoenixville is stepping out (again) for Walk a Mile in Her Shoes®: The International Men’s March to Stop Gender-Based Violence! 👠💜“You can’t understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.” At this event, participants literally walk a mile in women’s shoes - including heels! - to spark conversation, learning, allyship, and a bold public statement of support.
You’re welcome to walk in any shoes you feel comfortable in, but there’s something unforgettable about seeing men (and anyone who wants to join!) strut their stuff in heels for a cause. It’s meaningful, it’s fun, and it’s a statement that we’re listening, we care, and we’re committed. 👠
Phoenixville’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes chapter - run by incredible Phoenixville Area High School student volunteers -has chosen the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County as this year’s partner and beneficiary.
Join us Saturday, May 2nd, for a walk at 10 AM or 12 PM, during the Phoenixville Mental Health Fair at the Phoenixville Recreation Center (501 Franklin Ave, Phoenixville, PA).
✨ Registration is free, but donations are welcome and strongly encouraged to help support survivors and prevention efforts right here in our community!
Come walk, cheer, donate if you can, and be part of a fun event!
