About Wakanda Celebration
Join us for Wakanda Celebration 2026 — a cultural campus experience where African art, fashion, music, cuisine, and community come together to celebrate creativity, heritage, and global unity. Wakanda Celebration returns for its 9th annual gathering, transforming Hawthorne Terrace into a dynamic cultural campus honoring Africa as the heart of global creativity and connection. Presented by the Luangisa African Museum and Cultural Arts Center and Luangisa African Gallery, Wakanda brings together art, fashion, music, cuisine, and community in one powerful day of cultural exchange.
Luangisa African Gallery has worked for nearly three decades with more than 500 artisan collaborators across Africa, preserving traditional craftsmanship, supporting artisan communities, and advancing the appreciation of African artistic heritage through cultural preservation and cross-cultural engagement. This year’s theme, “One World. One People.”, reflects the shared humanity that connects cultures across all seven continents while celebrating the beauty and influence of African traditions. Through this annual celebration, Wakanda continues the mission of Luangisa to bring together culture, commerce, and community, creating a vibrant cultural campus that honors African creativity while fostering dialogue, understanding, and cultural connection.
