About this Event
Edited by Kamanamaikalani Beamer, Waiwai brings together Indigenous scholars, scientists, legal experts, and community leaders to examine how water has been both controlled and used in Hawaiʻi's past and present. The book explore the effects on local ecosystems and communities, as well as the steps needed to ensure sustainable and equitable water management. Hosted by The Mega Lab , a community based science and research non-profit, this book talk event will bring together book authors to discuss Hawaiʻi's water rights, management and ecological health, encouraging informed action to protect Hawaiʻi’s water for future generations.
