About this Event
Waiting Room is a world premiere theatrical production written and directed by Francesco Bauco. Set in the liminal space where strangers are brought together by circumstance, the play explores the profound moments when time stands still — and the unexpected bonds, revelations, and reckonings that emerge when people are forced to simply wait. A story about identity, aging, and the quiet courage it takes to face what we've been avoiding, Waiting Room asks a question we all carry: what do we do with the time we have left?
Staged in the intimate elegance of Zipper Hall at the Colburn School in Downtown Los Angeles, this one-night-only event marks the official launch of BEE Foundation for the Arts — a soon to be 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing free arts education to underserved communities across Los Angeles.
The evening begins with a red carpet arrival at 6:30 PM, followed by the world premiere performance at 8:00 PM. Additional patronage levels include exclusive access to An Evening in The Hive — a post-show celebration with the cast and BEE Foundation team.
An "Evening in The Hive" is more than a post-show celebration — it is the first gathering of a community that will shape the cultural future of Los Angeles. Following the world premiere of Waiting Room, Founding Patrons and Benefactors are invited for an intimate evening with the cast and BEE Foundation team in an atmosphere as memorable as the performance itself.
As a founding member of The Hive, your support directly shapes what we are able to offer to communities that need it most — connecting you to a growing movement of artists, philanthropists, and cultural leaders who believe that great art should be available to everyone. This is where relationships are built, where the foundation's story truly begins, and where you become part of it.
There are only a limited number of founding patronage seats available. Once they are gone, this moment cannot be recaptured.
Visit beefoundationforthearts.org to learn more about founding patronage opportunities, reserve your place in The Hive, and become part of this movement from the very beginning.
