It's that time of the year again! The Wairoa Extreme Race is happening on the 22nd & 23rd of February. Being a double release weekend, we will be running it in a similar format to last year. Saturday the 22nd;
- Registration opens at 8:30am, and closes at 9:30am
- 10:30am: Time trial #1 from Mclaren Falls to the bottom of roller coaster
- 1:30pm: Time Trial #2 (Same course)
[Times will be used as seeding for the head to head race on Sunday, your best time of the two races will be used for this]
- 2:30pm: Mass start race from the bottom of roller coaster to the bottom waterfall
Camping location is at the Ngamuwahine Lodge up the top of the Ngamuwahine River Rd. We are very fortunate to have this location for cooking, camping and socialising, so please treat it with respect.
- It is not an open invite if you would like to invite your significant other or close friends please organise this ahead of time with the event organisers
- Camping is $15 per person for the night
Sunday the 23rd; [HEAD TO HEAD boater X]
- 10:00am: Quick time trial for anyone who couldn't race on the Saturday.
- 11:00am: Head to head races commence from above toaster waterfall to the bottom of roller coaster. Open round and plate round!
- 4:00pm: Prize giving at the take out
Registration fees;
- $20 per day of competition ($40 for both days)
- $15 for camping at Ngamuwahine Lodge
- The First 50 registrations will receive a quick dry long sleeve event shirt to compete in!
