Waifs and Strays Manchester 2026

Hello Waifs and Strays,

Feels like we’ve only just wrapped up Brighton, but Manchester is already on the horizon.

We’d love to see as many of you as possible again during Housing 2026, so if you’re around, please join us:
2.30pm–6pm, Wednesday 24th June at Manahatta.

For those who’ve been before, you know the drill. And for anyone joining for the first time, it’s very simple - no agenda, no speeches, no sales talk. Just a drink, a bit of breathing space between conference chaos, and a chance to catch up properly.

What started as a handful of people in a Brighton pub all those years ago has somehow grown into something much bigger, but the feel of it hasn’t really changed. It’s still just about getting people together - whether that’s for five minutes or a couple of hours and enjoying a relaxed afternoon with familiar faces (and a few new ones).

This year, Build Recruitment, FFT, Laker and Echelon Group are hosting, so drinks are on us.

We are using Eventbrite again just to keep a rough handle on numbers, so it would really help if you could register here (it’s free and takes a minute):
