Eastern red cedar, a native tree that's made its home in these parts with reddish bark and a penchant for growin'! Wachiska Audubon invites you to join us in a Sunday Cedar Cut at our new home, Prairie Pines. Wachiska owns Prairie Pines Nature Preserve, a beautiful forested and prairie retreat. We invite adults to join us there for a fun and casual Sunday cedar cut! **Meet us at our new home 10am Sunday, 3100 N. 112th Street. (112th and Adams) Enter through the North gate (there are two gates, take the North one!), park and meet in front of the Big White Barn. Please wear gloves and long sleeves. Waivers must be signed at the start. Bring bow saws or loppers if you have them—tools will also be provided.
**Sunday Cedar Cut is led by Wachiska Audubon's Conservation Committee member, Pete Welsch.
