VU Chicago- Donation Drive and Giving Tuesday Social

Join us for Volunteering Untapped Chicago's Giving Tuesday Social and Donation Drive benefitting Bags and Mats for Those in Need!

Bags and Mats for Those in Need (B.A.M. for short), is a volunteer group out of Hegewisch that regularly meets to loom/crochet mats and pillows out of plastic bags for Chicago's unhoused population. They also stuff backpacks with donated personal hygiene products and clothing accessories like hats, gloves, scarves, and socks. Their mission is to provide warmth and comfort to those in need.

We'll be collecting donations and enjoying each other's company at Barcocina to celebrate Giving Tuesday!

• First time to VU? No problem, this drive and social is open to all!
• Location: Barcocina (2901 N Sheffield Ave)
• Date & Time: Tuesday, Decembe 3, 6:00PM - 8:00PM
• We are collecting donations including toothbrushes, floss, chapstick, deodorant, small tubes/bottles of lotion, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and more!

• Food and drinks are available for purchase, with 5 % of the proceeds donated back to Bags and Mats for those in need!
• The social is free to attend, but all financial donations through Eventbrite will go to Bags and Mats for Those in Need!
