This is for you if you enjoy winter camping. We will head out Friday evening for Hatheume Lake rec site from Chevron in Hope and the trip should take just over two hours. We will stop in Merritt to refuel then continue to our destination. We will make camp Friday evening and on Saturday explore the area including the Pennask Wind Farm. This is a 400km round trip, most FSR on this journey is some what graded so it's suitable for all Crosstreks, Foresters, Outbacks and Ascents. If you need to borrow a VHF radio comment below and I'll lend you one for the weekend.Mandatory Equipment:
- Proper working vehicle
- AT or Snow tires
- Full size spare
- tire lug nut locking key
- car jack and lug nut wrench
- appropriate clothing for changing weather conditions
- sleeping system for the climate
- toilet paper, garbage bags, soap, towels
- food and water, stove, cooking equipment
- saw/axe
Recommended equipment:
- headlamp and batteries
- extra oil, coolant, washer fluid, and fuel in proper containers
- folding chair
- folding table
- tire plug kit
- air down tool and compressor
- shovel
- VHF radio
- fire extinguisher
