VOS Community Chorus Season 15

The Voices of Singapore Community Chorus is our non-auditioned adult choir, and consists of members from all walks of life and differing levels of music knowledge with the aim to create a non-competitive and fun environment for choral singing. Embodying the community spirit of Singapore, the choir is known as the Chorus of the People, and its repertoire consists of a wide range of songs from contemporary to pop, sacred, jazz, musicals and classical choral works. Anyone aged 18 and up who can hold a tune is welcome. Join us for an unforgettable musical journey!

Season 1 5 will run from 22 March 2023 to 24 May 2023. Rehearsals are from 7:45pm-9:30pm on Wednesdays.

Chorus rehearsals are held in a hybrid format. You will be able to choose whether you would like to attend Chorus sessions in-person at a rehearsal venue or remain fully online throughout the season. For all singers joining us for the first time in Season 15, we will be holding an induction session on Wednesday, 22 March 2023 from 7:00-7:45pm.

In-person

In-person rehearsals will be conducted at VOS Capitol Studios in Capitol Singapore, at 13 Stamford Road #B1-20/21 Singapore 178905. To accommodate a larger capacity, some singers may also be hosted at the VOS Sky Studio on Level 3 weekly. In-person singers will be involved in all combined rehearsals, sectionals, concerts and events. Members participating in in-person rehearsals in Season 15 will have performance opportunities at a VOS Choral Society Concert on 6 May 2023.

Online

Online participants may join us from anywhere in the world on Zoom, and will be able to access a live broadcast of in-person combined sessions weekly. The online broadcast may end earlier on some weeks to accommodate for in-person sectionals. Online singers will unfortunately not be able to participate in concerts and events, but will receive full access to the VOS Community Chorus online resources including scores, notes and learning guides.

We'd also like to share about the Support-a-singer Fund, which is a pool of contributed funds that will go directly to supporting singers in the VOS Community Chorus, or other choral groups at Voices of Singapore who are in need of financial assistance.
