About this Event

Hey there! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help pass out 400 size 3-gal trees on Saturday, April 18th. Trees will weigh approximately 10-15 lbs each and will be 16" to 4' tall. Get the first pick of a free tree when you volunteer!

No experience is needed. Trees will be handed out to residents in a parking lot line-up, high-traffic volume setting with moving vehicles and loud background sounds present. Standing and walking through-out the day while bending and lifting trees. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring gloves and a personal water bottle if you have them. Restrooms are available on-site. Sign up now to be a part of this fun and rewarding event.

The trees will be distributed free of charge to participating residents on Saturday, 04/18. ReLeaf Michigan is proud to partner with Delta College Planetarium to host a tree giveaway event. Funding for this project is provided by the USDA Forest Service, Urban and Community Forestry Program in partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Urban and Community Forestry Program.

About ReLeaf Michigan

ReLeaf Michigan is Michigan's only statewide tree planting non-profit organization, working with communities and organizations throughout Michigan to protect and restore our urban tree canopies. Founded by some of the most respected arborists in the state, ReLeaf Michigan plants the Right Tree in the Right Place at the Right Time to ensure each tree thrives for generations to come.

Since 1988, ReLeaf Michigan has planted over 35,000 trees on public land with more than 725 communities and, through community workshops, increased awareness of the important benefits trees provide. Our communities are stronger when they are greener. People are healthier, the air is cleaner, infrastructure is more efficient, and the economy is stronger with trees.
