Each year, together with Volunteer South West, I host a Christmas thank you event for local volunteers for International Volunteers’ Day, and this year is no different.The work done by volunteers is vital to our community, so properly thanking and valuing those of you who contribute to our community in this way is really important to me.
If you give up your time to help out at a school, or a sporting club or a community organisation, if you work unpaid overtime for the benefit of our community, or if you are a member of an unpaid Board or Committee, you are a volunteer and I hope you are able to attend.
If you know other people who are volunteers or if you are in a leadership position at an organisation that relies on volunteers, please pass this invitation along to any volunteers who may like to attend.
