About this Event
We need help planting trees to create the native, broadleaved woodlands of the future.
As part of our Trees for Climate fund, we will be planting throughout the winter across Bristol, Bath, North East Somerset and South Glos.
This is our first tree planting session of the season and it's also National Tree Week! Join us as we celebrate the start of the tree planting season in Wellow, Bath. Volunteering at this site will include hedgerow planting to increase habitat, planting small whips using spades.
A planting demonstation will be carried out before the planting - All abilites welcome, tools, gloves and training provided. You will need to bring sturdy shoes, weather appropriate clothing and your lunch. Toilets are available on site.
Exact location, meeting point and parking information will be sent upon signing up - please do not refer to Eventbrite map for directions. Volunteers will need to organise their own transport to site. We encourage lift sharing where possible.
Connecting with nature and spending time in green spaces has proven benefits to our mental wellbeing and physical health. Our volunteer days are the perfect way to enjoy the many benefits of spending time outdoors, while giving back to nature and feeling the satisfaction of helping your local area to become a little bit greener.
